Meet Rian

(Pronounced just like Ryan.) I’ve been married to my best friend for 10 years and have been photographing weddings for a bit longer. Outside of photography, I love music (I’m a singer), the beach, kayaking and paddleboarding, playing with our pets (2 cats and a 7 lb cockapoo), binging New Girl, exploring the amazing local food scene, fixing up our 1950s home, and spending time with our family, friends, and godchildren.

I’ve been a wedding and portrait photographer for over a decade here in Charleston, SC! As a native, photography has deepened my love for my hometown. I get excited about our stunning beaches, marshes, waterways, grand oaks, Spanish moss, gorgeous sunsets, and charming historical architecture and wedding venues. But what I love even more is the people I get to work with. My passion lies in storytelling through my lens, and my approach is to capture my subjects’ true personalities.

The top feedback I receive from clients is how comfortable they feel with me, which makes my heart swell because I know how it feels to be in front of the camera. I always strive to make our sessions relaxing and fun! I truly believe that while your photos are incredibly important, so is the experience you have on your wedding day.
