- Klyde Warren Park– Klyde Warren Park is a popular location for portraits because of its beautiful greenery and urban setting. There are plenty of areas to take photos, including the lush lawns and tree-lined walkways. The park is free to enter and there is no charge for taking photos.
- Bishop Arts District- The Bishop Arts District is a trendy location for portraits, with its colorful murals and hip vibe. There are plenty of unique backdrops to choose from, including street art, vintage storefronts, and colorful alleyways. There is no charge for taking photos in the Bishop Arts District.
- Old City Park– Old City Park, formerly known as Dallas Heritage Village is a historic location for portraits, with its preserved buildings and authentic period furnishings. The village covers 20 acres and includes 38 historic structures, including homes, shops, and a church. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $8 for children ages 4-12. Photography is allowed for personal use, but there is a fee for commercial photography.
- Dallas Arts District– The Dallas Arts District is a sophisticated location for portraits, with its modern architecture and world-class art installations. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to take photos, including the Nasher Sculpture Center, Klyde Warren Park, and the Winspear Opera House. There is no charge for taking photos in the Dallas Arts District.
- The Dallas skyline- The Dallas skyline is a dramatic location for portraits, with its iconic skyscrapers and urban setting. There are plenty of spots to take photos, including the Trinity Overlook Park and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. There is no charge for taking photos of the Dallas skyline.
- Trinity Groves – Located on the west side of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas, Trinity Groves features a mix of modern architecture, colorful murals, and trendy restaurants. Free admission
- Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge– This iconic bridge in Dallas offers stunning views of the city skyline and Trinity River, creating a dramatic backdrop for portraits. Free admission

- Fair Park & Texas State Fair – This 277-acre park in East Dallas features historic art deco architecture, including the iconic Cotton Bowl Stadium and the Texas Star Ferris Wheel. Admission prices vary depending on event.
- Highland Park Village -This upscale shopping center in Dallas features beautiful architecture, unique sculptures, and a variety of luxury shops and restaurants. Free admission.
- Southern Methodist University – Free admission, some buildings may require permission for photography.
- Trinity River Audubon Center -This 120-acre nature preserve in South Dallas offers a variety of unique backdrops, including wetlands, prairies, and forests.$6 admission fee for adults, $4 for children
- Oak Cliff Nature Preserve – This nature preserve in southwest Dallas offers a variety of hiking trails and natural backdrops, including forests, creeks, and wildflowers. Free admission
- Fort Worth Stockyards – The Fort Worth Stockyards is a historic district that offers a unique look into the city’s cowboy past. With its old-fashioned buildings, authentic western wear, and daily cattle drives, it’s the perfect place for cowboy-inspired portrait photography. Pricing: Free.
